AGS Bowman Expeditions

This KU-led project, partially funded by the Army Research Office, aims to increase knowledge of human geography. Using open-source Global Informatiion Systems (GIS) data, participatory research mapping and other data collected in the field, KU geographers are seeking ways to better communicate factors crucial to economic prosperity, environmental sustainability, political stability, and cultural identity.
